THE HOLIDAY LIGHTS DISPLAY

Friday November 26, 2021 - January 03, 2022

For over ten years now, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum has been inaugurating the holiday season by illuminating their grounds with a vast array of festive and colorful lights known as the Holiday Lights Display. The overall exhibition contains a multitude of space-themed displays made from tens of thousands of lights, with prominent works including a twenty-foot-tall Saturn V rocket and a giant Apollo-era astronaut saluting he American flag.

The Display officially kicks-on at 7:00 p.m. on November 26th, when the lights are turned on for the first time during the "Grand Illumination" event.

The lights will be on for guest to enjoy from dusk until dawn every night until the end of the year. To help promote social distancing and accessibility this year, the Display has been modified into a drive-thru event! Holiday lights will be spread periodically throughout the museum parking lot to allow guest to experience the lights from the convenience of their own vehicles.

Guests are asked to refrain from touching lights, sculptures, or cords. If you take any pictures of the lights throughout the holiday season please post them using #AASMLights

Donations will be accepted on-site and online via our donation tab listed above! The guestbook can also be found on our website below this page! Please leave your comments and let us know what you think!

The Holiday Lights Display is weather permitting. The store and restrooms are not regularly open, and there is no food or beverage available.
