Rocket Weekend


Armstrong Event

Rocket Weekend May 18th and 19th from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Spend the weekend at the Museum enjoying all aspects of rocketry. See rocket launches; launch rockets using a range of different materials including water, air, and Alka Seltzer. Complete all free rocket activities and win a prize from our rocket shaped Plinko board!

Rocket workshops will be taking place for $20.00 registration fee. Students can complete their rocket building and see it launched. Times for the workshops are:

Saturday: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Registration for workshops now open. Pre-registration is required. Call 419-738-8811 or contact to register today. $20.00 fee is due at the time of registration.

On Sunday from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. a virtual reality experience will be available for $2 after the price of admission.

Half hour guided tours will be offered for free three times a day. This is a great way to learn something new about the early space program and Neil Armstrong's life. Times for these tours are:

Saturday: 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.

Sunday: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

After paying your admission please wait for your tour guide in the adjacent waiting area.

Event is free and open to the public; Museum admission required to tour the museum.
