50 Years of Space Art Competition

-

Community Event

In May, Riverside Art Gallery and Armstrong Air & Space Museum will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing with 50 Years of Space, a commemorative art show and competition. All artists from across the world are invited to submit their interpretation of 50 Years of Space artwork by April 20, 2019.

The first lunar landing remains a testament to perseverance, team work, and a dream. When humans first stepped on the moon, the world watched and celebrated the greatest achievement of engineering, math, science, and technology. Many accomplishments had been achieved to enable that first landing, and many more significant endeavors in those fields have expanded our understanding of the unknown to this day.

All submitted artwork according to the contest format will be displayed between May 2 and 27, 2019. Community judges will judge the artwork.

The winners will be announced on May 2 during a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
