The 2019 Edition of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum holiday lights display is currently running nightly through January 1st starting at dusk until dawn. The lights are all outside and do not cost anything to view.
The display contains tens of thousands of lights and features, including five rope-light sculptures from 7’ to 20’ high, including a Saturn V rocket and saluting astronaut. Visitors are welcome to explore the many elements across the outdoor grounds with several photo opportunities within the display. Please refrain from touching lights, sculptures, or cords.
You can drive by the display in the parking lot if you don’t wish to get out of your car but you can not drive through it. It is recommended that you walk the display which takes approximately 10 minutes. If you take any pictures of the lights throughout the holiday season please post them using #AASMLights.
The museum store and restrooms will be open the Thursday and Friday before Christmas, December 19 and 20, until 8 p.m. Admission to the store and restrooms does not cost anything. The store and restrooms will not be open any other nights, and there is no food or beverage available.
Be sure to look out for 3 Toy Story aliens hidden throughout the display as well as look out for another familiar character who makes an appearance. When you complete your visit be sure to sign the guestbook in-front of the entrance.
The Holiday Lights Display is weather permitting.
