GUIDELINES

-       Logo must include wording “Apollo 11” somewhere.

-       Logo must include “55th” or “Fifty-Fifth” somewhere.

-       The logo must be the original work of the designer.

-       The logo can use any color scheme.

-       Logo must include the wording “Armstrong Air & Space Museum” somewhere in the design.

-       Logo should not be overly complex for reproduction.

-       Logo should be an appropriate size and resolution.

-       Entries from family members who work at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum Association will not be considered. 

SUBMISSIONS

-       All entries are due by 7:00pm on Wed, May 15th, 2024.

-       Entries can be submitted by electronic copy via social media or by emailing exhibits@armstrongmuseum.org.

-       Entries should be submitted as a JPG, TIFF, or AI file. 

JUDGING

Once submitted, the designs will be reviewed by a panel of staff and AASMA board members. Entries will be judged on their appearance, quality, adherence to the guidelines mentioned above, and ease of use for reproduction purposes. After selection, the judging panel’s decision is final. 

SELECTION

1ST PLACE: Submitter will receive $300.00 for compensation of their time and rights to the design. The submitter will also receive a complimentary piece of museum merchandise with the logo.

2ND PLACE: Submitter will receive a complimentary Ohio History Connection single membership.

3RD PLACE: Submitter will receive a complimentary banner from the 2024 total solar eclipse.

RIGHTS AND OWNERSHIP

Once selected as the winning design, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum Association will acquire ownership of the winning logo. The winning submitter will disclaim any trademarks, design use, and all other rights associated with the design without limitation. By submitting a design and winning, the submitter acknowledges that they are the rightful owner of the design and relinquishes ownership. The submitter also verifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third-party and that it does not violate any trademark or copyright. Royalties will not be considered.
